CHANDIGARH, December 4:- Continuing the war against drugs “Yudh Nashian Virudh” waged by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann to eradicate drug menace from state consecutively for the 278th day, Punjab Police conducted raids at 257 locations on Thursday leading to the arrest of 66 drug smugglers after registration of 52 first information reports (FIRs) across the state. With this, the number of total drug smugglers arrested has reached to 39,175 in 278 days. CHANDIGARH, December 4:- The Punjab Police has embarked on a landmark initiative, the “Mainstreaming of Women Police” project, aimed at comprehensively assessing and enhancing the role and integration of women police officers across the state. The project commenced with a three-day Training of Trainers (ToT) programme held at the Punjab Police Academy (PPA), Phillaur from December 2 to 4, 2025.
