YUDH NASHIAN VIRUDH: 25646 DRUG SMUGGLERS HELD WITH 1059-KG HEROIN SINCE MARCH 1

CHANDIGARH, August 13:           The ongoing decisive war against drugs ‘Yudh Nashian Virudh’, launched on the directions of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, has resulted in registeration of 16,400 first information reports (FIRs) and arrests of 25,646 drug smugglers leading to the recovery of 1059 kg heroin since March 1, 2025.           MLA Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal and Chief Spokesperson Nasha Mukti Morcha Baltej Singh Pannu, while addressing a press conference at Punjab Bhawan here on Wednesday, revealed that apart from the 1059 kg haul of heroin, police have also seized 366 kg opium, 215 quintals poppy husk, 29 kg charas, 405 kg ganja, 6 kg ICE, 32.35 lakh intoxicant pills/tablets, and ₹12....
