CHANDIGARH, November 1:           With the ongoing decisive war against drugs ‘Yudh Nashian Virudh’ launched on the directions of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann has completed eight months, Punjab Police has registered 23,164 first information reports (FIRs) and arrested 34,727 drug smugglers leading to the recovery of 1512 kg heroin since March 1, 2025.           Since the launch of this anti-drug drive, Punjab Police, under the directions of Director General of Police (DGP) Punjab Gaurav Yadav, has been conducting operations daily simultaneously in all the 28 Police districts of the state. CHANDIGARH, October 31:           Continuing the war against drugs “Yudh Nashian Virudh” waged by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann to eradicate drug menace from state consecutively for the 244th day, Punjab Police conducted raids at 300 locations on Friday leading to the arrest of 77 drug smugglers after registration of 59 first information reports (FIRs) across the state.
