Chandigarh September 29, 2025 -  The Punjab Vigilance Bureau (VB), during its drive against corruption has apprehended Harjit Singh, Junior Engineer (JE), Education Department, posted at  Kapurthala red-handed accepting a bribe of Rs. 4000. Disclosing this a spokesperson of the VB said the accused has been arrested following a complainant from a school teacher posted in Government School, Dhaliwal Dona, in Kapurthala district. He further stated that the complainant has approached the VB and alleged that the aforementioned accused had demanded a bribe of Rs. 10,000 for issuing a completion certificate in respect of a grant amounting to Rs 40 lakh, utilized by the said school.
