CHANDIGARH/BATALA, November 27:-           In a major breakthrough amidst the ongoing drive to make Punjab a safe and secure state as per directions of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, Batala Police has arrested a key associate of gangster Nishan Joriyan involved in the firing incident linked to extortion bid in Batala and recovered one 9MM Glock pistol from his possession, said Director General of Police (DGP) Punjab Gaurav Yadav here on Thursday.           The arrested accused has been identified as Lovejeet Singh alias Kaka alias Kawaljit, a resident of Vairowal Bawia in Batala.
