YUDH NASHIAN VIRUDH’: ON DAY 203, PUNJAB POLICE NABS 79 DRUG SMUGGLERS WITH 11.4KG HEROIN, ₹4.29L DRUG MONEY

CHANDIGARH, September 20:           Continuing the war against drugs “Yudh Nashian Virudh” waged by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann to eradicate drug menace from state consecutively for the 203rd day, Punjab Police conducted raids at 357 locations on Saturday leading to the arrest of 79 drug smugglers after registration of 56 first information reports (FIRs) across the state. With this, the number of total drug smugglers arrested has reached to 30,298 in 203 days.           The raids have resulted in recovery of 11.4 kg heroin, 644 grams opium, 814 intoxicant tablets/capsules and Rs 4.29 lakhs drug money from the possession of arrested drug smugglers.       &n...
