Chandigarh, February 3: The Punjab Government, led by Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann, has distributed ₹3368.89 crore as pension to 22.68 elderly beneficiaries until December 2024. Providing further details,  Social Security, Women and Child Development Minister Dr. Baljit Kaur stated that the government is committed to the welfare of all sections of society. She mentioned that there are a total of 34 lakh beneficiaries in the state, including the elderly, divyang persons, widows, destitute women and dependent children. Jalandhar, February 2 : In a major breakthrough against organised vehicle theft, the City Nakodar Police Station of Jalandhar Rural Police has successfully dismantled an inter-district vehicle lifting gang with the arrest of four individuals and recovery of four stolen two-wheelers worth approximately Rs. 4 lakh. Chandigarh, January 30:           Punjab Labour Minister Tarunpreet Singh Sond has proposed that workers registered under e-Shram be provided with medical insurance, stipends for their children, and pension benefits after retirement.
