Under the guidance of the Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Minister Lal Chand Kataruchak, the procurement, lifting and payments are going on in full swing. CHANDIGARH, November 5:           Continuing the war against drugs “Yudh Nashian Virudh” waged by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann to eradicate drug menace from state consecutively for the 249th day, Punjab Police conducted raids at 381 locations on Wednesday leading to the arrest of 97 drug smugglers after registration of 74 first information reports (FIRs) across the state. With this, the number of total drug smugglers arrested has reached to 35,377 in 249 days.           The raids have resulted in recovery of 1.3 kg heroin, 900 grams opium, 28 kg poppy husk, 14,959 intoxicant pills and Rs 3.50 lakhs drug money from the possession of arrested drug smugglers.      ...
