Chandigarh, February 4:           Punjab Labour Minister Tarunpreet Singh Sond has revealed that Department of labour has registered 57,75,402 workers on e-Shram portal launched by Govt. of India for registration of unorganized workers. Chandigarh, February 3: The Punjab Government, led by Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann, has distributed ₹3368.89 crore as pension to 22.68 elderly beneficiaries until December 2024. Providing further details,  Social Security, Women and Child Development Minister Dr. Baljit Kaur stated that the government is committed to the welfare of all sections of society. She mentioned that there are a total of 34 lakh beneficiaries in the state, including the elderly, divyang persons, widows, destitute women and dependent children. FY 2024-25; Punjab achieves 11.87 pc growth in GST higher than national average of 10 pc: Harpal Singh Cheema

Chandigarh, February 2 Punjab Finance, Planning, Excise and Taxation Minister Advocate Harpal Singh Cheema announced on Sunday that the state has achieved an impressive 11.87 percent growth in net Goods and Services Tax (GST) collection upto January in the current fiscal year, compared to FY 2023-24. This growth rate surpasses the national average of 10 percent. Additionally, Punjab has witnessed a net growth of 15.33 percent in excise and a total of 11.67 percent in taxes from net GST, Excise, VAT, CST, and PSDT in the current fiscal year.
