Chandigarh, February 4: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann on Tuesday said that the state government is laying major thrust for enhancing the share of recruitment of youth from the state in the Indian Armed forces. Interacting with a delegation led by Air Marshal Hardeep Bains AVSM VSM, the Commandant of National Defence College, the Chief Minister said that Punjab has a glorious history of serving the country in Indian Armed forces. Chandigarh, February 04, 2025 -  The Punjab Vigilance Bureau (VB), during its ongoing campaign against corruption in the state, on Wednesday has apprehended Amrit Bhushan, posted as Head Cashier at PSPCL office in Dinanagar in Gurdaspur district for demanding and receiving a bribe of Rs 2,60,000. Disclosing this here today an official spokesperson of the state VB said the above-mentioned accused has been arrested after an inquiry of a complaint lodged by Raghubir Singh, a resident of Changi Saroop Dass, district Gurdaspur. Chandigarh, February 4: Under the instructions of Transport Minister Laljit Singh Bhullar, two employees of the Transport Department have been suspended after being found involved in drug trafficking, and the process to terminate their services has already begun. Providing more details, Transport Minister Laljit Singh Bhullar stated that an inspector and a conductor were found involved in drug trafficking.
