Chandigarh, 28 October 2025: Cabinet Minister Sh. Sanjeev Arora today informed that Govt. of Punjab had imposed stamp duty of 0.25% of the loan amount on all equitable mortgages (where land is given as collateral) and hypothecation of immovable property i.e. stocks given as collateral against the Bank loans in January 2025, a further 0.25% subject to a ceiling of 1 lakh, on registration of equitable mortgages was also imposed. Chandigarh October 27, 2025 – The Punjab Vigilance Bureau (VB) on Monday, arrested Jatinder Singh, a Security Guard posted at the Civil Hospital Baba Bakala Sahib, Amritsar district, red-handed while he was accepting a bribe of Rs 15000. Disclosing this here today an official spokesperson of the state VB said the accused was apprehended following a complaint of Resham Singh. The complainant has alleged to the VB that said accused has demanded bribe of Rs 15000 for facilitating the issuance of a negative dope test certificate for an arms licence. New Delhi/ Chandigarh October 27- Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann on Monday extended an invitation to the President of India Droupadi Murmu to attend the events commemorating the  350th martyrdom day of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur ji  at the holy city of Sri Anandpur Sahib. In a meeting held here at the Rashtrapati Bhawan, Bhagwant Singh Mann urged the President of India to join the mega events to mark the auspicious occasion.
