CHANDIGARH, November 15:-           Continuing the war against drugs “Yudh Nashian Virudh” waged by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann to eradicate drug menace from state consecutively for the 259th day, Punjab Police conducted raids at 348 locations on Saturday leading to the arrest of 113 drug smugglers after registration of 86 first information reports (FIRs) across the state. Harjot Singh Bains today expressed profound grief over the untimely sad demise of RN Kansal, Senior Journalist of TV9Bharatvarsh and Zee News. As per reports, Mr. Kansal, 53, met a tragic accident near village Sajuma in Sangrur district while driving his car. He was survived by his wife, son, daughter and mother. While acknowledging Mr. Kansal’s extensive contribution in the main stream media, S. Bains shared his heartfelt sympathies with the bereaved family. Chandigarh, November 13, 2025 –  In its ongoing crackdown on corruption, the Punjab Vigilance Bureau (VB) today arrested ASI Ragwinder Prasad posted at  police station kot Ise Khan district Moga. He was caught red-handed accepting a  bribe of Rs 5000 from a complainant, resident of tehsil Malout district Sri Muktsar Sahib. Disclosing this a spokesperson of VB said that a case was registered against the complainant's relatives in police station Kot Ise khan and the investigating officer ASI Ragwinder Prasad demanded a bribe of Rs. 20000/- in lieu of helping him in this case.
