Chandigarh, November 21:- Punjab Social Security, Women Empowerment and Child Development Minister Dr. Baljit Kaur today attended the review meeting of NGOs promoted by the State Organisation for Social Service & Voluntary Action (SOSVA) as the Chief Guest at MGSIPA. The Minister appreciated SOSVA for effectively implementing women empowerment and reproductive child health projects across the State. Vigilance Bureau nabs Patwari red-handed while accepting second installment of bribe Rs 25000/-

Chandigarh, November 21, 2025 – In its ongoing crackdown on corruption, the Punjab Vigilance Bureau (VB) today arrested Patwari Sarabjit Singh posted at circle Golward village Bala Chak, district Tarn Taran. He was caught red-handed accepting a second installment of bribe Rs 25000/- from a complainant, who is a resident of district Amritsar. Disclosing this a spokesperson of VB said that the complainant wants to sell his land and for selling it, the complainant obtained the copy of the mutation (fard) of his land.
