Chandigarh, October 6: The Election Commission of India (ECI) has Notified the schedule for the bye-election to the Council of States (Rajya Sabha) from Punjab, following the vacancy that arose due to the resignation of Sh. Sanjeev Arora on July 1, 2025. The term of the vacated seat is up to April 9, 2028. According to the notification issued by the Election Commission on October 6, 2025, the bye-election will be conducted to fill the said vacancy in accordance with the provisions of the Representation of the People Act, 1951, and the rules framed thereunder.
