Chandigarh, October 21 : The Punjab Cabinet Sub-Committee, comprising Cabinet Ministers Advocate Harpal Singh Cheema, Mr. Aman Arora, Mr. Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal, and Mr. Harbhajan Singh ETO directed the Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) to ensure that no hazardous work is carried out by any employee without the necessary safety kit. CHANDIGARH, May 17: The Cyber Crime Division of the Punjab Police has busted two fake Call Centres running in Mohali and arrested 155 employees of these centres for making fraudulent calls to people living in US and duping them, said Director General of Police (DGP) Punjab Gaurav Yadav here on Friday.           The first fake Call centre was located at Plot #F88 in Sector 74 in SAS Nagar, while, the other fake Call Centre established at A-one Tower at Sector 74 of SAS Nagar. 328 candidates to contest for 13 Lok Sabha seats in Punjab: Sibin C

Chandigarh, May 17: Chief Electoral Officer Sibin C said on Friday that a total of 328 candidates will contest the 13 Lok Sabha seats in Punjab, compared to 253 in 2014 and 278 candidates in 2019.           The CEO said that a total of 25 candidates have withdrawn their names by the last date for withdrawal of nominations. Earlier, 466 candidates had filed 598 nominations in the state. After the scrutiny and withdrawal of papers, the total number of candidates has come down to 328, including 302 male and 26 female candidates.
