The responsibility for the explosion near the CRPF school in Rohini Sector 14, Delhi, has been claimed by Khalistani groups. A post found in the Justice League India group on Telegram has taken responsibility for the blast, stating their capability to carry out attacks at any time. Currently, investigative agencies are examining whether this post is legitimate or if it has been fabricated.
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) and a team from the National Security Guard (NSG) have also begun investigations. The Home Ministry has requested a report from the Delhi Police regarding the incident. According to sources from the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL), crude bomb-like materials were found in the preliminary investigation. However, official information will only be available after receiving the full report.
The explosion occurred around 7:30 AM on Sunday in the Prashant Vihar area. Fortunately, no one was injured, but the wall of the CRPF school, nearby shops, and some cars sustained damage. CCTV footage of the incident has also surfaced.
In May, over 150 schools received email threats related to bomb explosions, and investigative agencies are also looking into this aspect.
Police officials stated that a PCR call was received at 7:47 AM, reporting a loud explosion near the CRPF school in Rohini Sector 14. Subsequently, the SHO and staff arrived at the scene. The explosion damaged shop windows and a car parked nearby.
Hearing the blast, people rushed out of their homes and shops. Delhi’s Chief Minister, Atishi, blamed the central government for the explosion, stating on X that the incident highlights the deteriorating security situation in Delhi. She asserted that law and order responsibility lies with the BJP-led central government, which spends its time obstructing the work of the elected government in Delhi rather than fulfilling its duties.
She noted that this situation has led to conditions reminiscent of the Mumbai underworld in the 1990s, with open shootings, gangsters extorting money, and a rise in criminal morale. According to her, the BJP lacks both the intention and capability to perform its duties.
Delhi police officials have issued alerts to nearby police stations to enhance vigilance and increase checks. Patrols in markets have also been intensified. The public has been urged to report any suspicious objects immediately to the police.
The Delhi Police’s Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) is investigating the incident from a terrorism perspective, examining sewer lines and CCTV footage. The National Security Guard (NSG) has also been notified.
