Chandigarh, August 12 – In view of the steadily rising demand for flowers, Punjab Horticulture Minister Mr. Mohinder Bhagat today directed officers to take necessary measures to promote floriculture across the state. He was reviewing the progress of the department’s activities at the Punjab Civil Secretariat on Monday. Mr. Bhagat said that in the present times, the demand for flowers is increasing everywhere, with no event or programme considered complete without floral decoration. CHANDIGARH, August 11:           Continuing the war against drugs “Yudh Nashian Virudh” waged by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann to eradicate drug menace from state consecutively for the 163rd day, Punjab Police conducted raids at 335 locations on Tuesday leading to the arrest of 104 drug smugglers after registration of 74 first information reports (FIRs) across the state.
