Chandigarh: August 6, 2025 – The Punjab Vigilance Bureau (VB) during its ongoing campaign against corruption in the state on Tuesday arrested Balwinder Singh, Junior Engineer, posted at  PSPCL, Jalalabad(West), Fazilka district for receiving a bribe of Rs 7000. Disclosing this here today an official spokesperson of the state VB said the accused demanded bribe from the complainant Salvinder Singh r/o village Jamalgarh, tehsil Jalalabad district Fazilka. He further added that the complainant has alleged that the above-mentioned accused had demanded Rs 10,000 as a bribe in lieu of installing a separate transformer for the motor on his land.
