Chandigarh, March 25 The Punjab Government is committed to starting government bus service on every route of the state so that women can benefit from the free bus service and other passengers can travel with convenience.  Responding to a question raised by MLA Neena Mittal during the session of the Punjab Vidhan Sabha on Tuesday, Punjab Transport Minister S. Laljit Singh Bhullar said that the state government is committed to introducing government bus service on those routes where it is currently unavailable. CHANDIGARH, March 23:           With the war against drugs “Yudh Nashian Virudh” waged on the directions of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann to eradicate drug menace from state entered 23rd day, Punjab Police on Sunday arrested 109 drug smugglers and recovered 8.6 kg heroin, 3.3 kg opium, 40 kg poppy husk and ₹2.9 lakhs drug money from their possession. Chandigarh, March 21, 2025:           The Punjab Vigilance Bureau (VB), during its ongoing campaign against corruption in the state, on Friday, arrested Harjit Singh, a Forest Guard, posted at Malerkotla, for demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 20,000.           Disclosing this here today an official spokesperson of the state VB said the arrest was made following verification a complaint filed by a resident of Malerkotla.
