Chandigarh, May 20 – Reaffirming the firm commitment of Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann to provide potable drinking water to the residents of the state, the Punjab government will soon launch two ambitious schemes worth around Rs 315 crore. Divulging the details, Water Supply and Sanitation Minister Mr. Hardeep Singh Mundian said that these projects aim to strengthen rural drinking water infrastructure and ensure the long-term sustainability of supply systems. He informed that a project for the augmentation/bifurcation of 144 rural water supply schemes in 22 districts of Punjab, amounting to Rs 159.95 crore, has already been approved. CHANDIGARH, May 19:           In a significant stride under the ongoing anti-drugs campaign ‘Yudh Nashian Virudh’ launched on the directions of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, Punjab Police has recovered 515 kilograms of heroin in just 79 days.
