CHANDIGARH, November 24:-          Continuing the war against drugs “Yudh Nashian Virudh” waged by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann to eradicate drug menace from state consecutively for the 268th day, Punjab Police conducted raids at 325 locations on Monday leading to the arrest of 87 drug smugglers after registration of 67 first information reports (FIRs) across the state. Trials for All India Civil Services Athletics and Football Tournament on 26th November

Chandigarh, November 24- Punjab Sports Department is conducting trials for All India Civil Services Athletics (Men & Women) and Football (Men) on 26th November at Patiala and Mohali. Informing this, a spokesperson of the department said that Athletic tournament will be held from 13th to 15th December at Patna, While Football tournaments is going to held on 8th to 15th December at Goa by the Central Civil Services Cultural and Sports Board. He said that trials for Athletic events are scheduled on 26th November at 11 am at Polo Ground, Patiala, while Football trials will be held on the same day and time at Multipurpose Sports Complex, Sector-78, SAS Nagar.

Vigilance Bureau nabs Patwari red-handed while accepting second installment of bribe Rs 25000/-

Chandigarh, November 21, 2025 – In its ongoing crackdown on corruption, the Punjab Vigilance Bureau (VB) today arrested Patwari Sarabjit Singh posted at circle Golward village Bala Chak, district Tarn Taran. He was caught red-handed accepting a second installment of bribe Rs 25000/- from a complainant, who is a resident of district Amritsar. Disclosing this a spokesperson of VB said that the complainant wants to sell his land and for selling it, the complainant obtained the copy of the mutation (fard) of his land.  Then, he came to know that this land is not registered in his name, but in the name of some other person.
