Chandigarh, November 13:- Punjab Information and Public Relations Minister S. Harjot Singh Bains today expressed profound grief over the untimely sad demise of RN Kansal, Senior Journalist of TV9Bharatvarsh and Zee News. As per reports, Mr. Kansal, 53, met a tragic accident near village Sajuma in Sangrur district while driving his car. He was survived by his wife, son, daughter and mother. While acknowledging Mr. Kansal’s extensive contribution in the main stream media, S. Bains shared his heartfelt sympathies with the bereaved family. He prayed to the Almighty to grant eternal peace to the departed soul and give strength to the family to bear this irreparable loss.

He was caught red-handed accepting a  bribe of Rs 5000 from a complainant, resident of tehsil Malout district Sri Muktsar Sahib. CHANDIGARH, November 13:-           Continuing the war against drugs “Yudh Nashian Virudh” waged by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann to eradicate drug menace from state consecutively for the 257th day, Punjab Police conducted raids at 315 locations on Thursday leading to the arrest of 77 drug smugglers after registration of 62 first information reports (FIRs) across the state. With this, the number of total drug smugglers arrested has reached to 36,386 in 257 days.           The raids have resulted in recovery of 2.5 kg heroin, 600 grams opium, 25 kg poppy husk, 110 intoxicant pills and Rs 1900 drug money from the possession of arrested drug smugglers.           Notably, CM Bhagwant Singh Mann...
