Chandigarh, October 12: Committed to ensuring potable water supply to every household across the city, Municipal Corporation Ludhiana has achieved significant progress in curbing incidents of water contamination, informed Punjab Local Government Minister Dr. Ravjot Singh here today. The exercise, aimed at improving the water distribution network, has started yielding positive results with complaints of water contamination dropping from 608 in 2022-23 to 318 in 2025, till date. In June 2025, PSPCL launched a dedicated online portal for the registration of corruption and bribery complaints – https://grms.pspcl.in. CHANDIGARH, October 9:           Continuing the war against drugs “Yudh Nashian Virudh” waged by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann to eradicate drug menace from state consecutively for the 222nd day, Punjab Police conducted raids at 290 locations on Thursday leading to the arrest of 77 drug smugglers after registration of 59 first information reports (FIRs) across the state.
