Vigilance Bureau nabs ASI red-handed accepting bribe of Rs 5000/-

Chandigarh, November 13, 2025 –  In its ongoing crackdown on corruption, the Punjab Vigilance Bureau (VB) today arrested ASI Ragwinder Prasad posted at  police station kot Ise Khan district Moga. He was caught red-handed accepting a  bribe of Rs 5000 from a complainant, resident of tehsil Malout district Sri Muktsar Sahib. Disclosing this a spokesperson of VB said that a case was registered against the complainant's relatives in police station Kot Ise khan and the investigating officer ASI Ragwinder Prasad demanded a bribe of Rs. 20000/- in lieu of helping him in this case. CHANDIGARH, November 13:-           Continuing the war against drugs “Yudh Nashian Virudh” waged by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann to eradicate drug menace from state consecutively for the 257th day, Punjab Police conducted raids at 315 locations on Thursday leading to the arrest of 77 drug smugglers after registration of 62 first information reports (FIRs) across the state.
