Chandigarh, September 15: In line with its commitment to ensuring environmentally responsible industrial practices, the Board carried out a comprehensive inspection of all Tyre Pyrolysis Oil (TPO) Units across the State. As many as 17 teams comprising officers of the rank of Environmental Engineer were deployed to conduct a synchronized inspection of 17 operational TPO units located in different districts of Punjab. According to an official spokesperson, the inspections were aimed at assessing compliance with environmental safeguards, safety protocols and pollution control measures mandated under the law and prescribed guidelines. CHANDIGARH, September 14:           Continuing the war against drugs “Yudh Nashian Virudh” waged by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann to eradicate drug menace from state consecutively for the 197th day, Punjab Police conducted raids at 433 locations on Sunday leading to the arrest of 94 drug smugglers after registration of 71 first information reports (FIRs) across the state. With this, the number of total drug smugglers arrested has reached to 29,519 in 197 days.           The raids have resulted in recovery of 22.2 kg heroin, 11 kg ganja, 2125 intoxicant tablets/capsules and Rs 2.01 lakh drug money from the possession of arrested drug smugglers.        &n...
