CHANDIGARH, September 28:           Continuing the war against drugs “Yudh Nashian Virudh” waged by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann to eradicate drug menace from state consecutively for the 211th day, Punjab Police conducted raids at 328 locations on Sunday leading to the arrest of 76 drug smugglers after registration of 53 first information reports (FIRs) across the state. Chandigarh, September 27 Punjab Finance Minister, Advocate Harpal Singh Cheema, who also chairs the Cabinet Sub-Committee constituted to resolve employee demands and issues, has instructed the Local Government Department to ensure that any new recruitment of sewermen and Safai Sewaks (sanitation workers) is done on a regular basis. He said that these employees face serious problems, and many of them have very few other employment alternatives.
