Chandigarh 30 November 2025:- The State Election Commission has been informed by Department of Rural Development and Panchayats that in view of the notification dated 28.11.2025 issued by Department of Local Government, 15 villages adjoining Municipal Corporation, Mohali have now been merged into the boundaries of Municipal Corporation, Mohali. The Department of Rural Development and Panchayats has clarified that due to this notification, the 15 Gram Panchayats of Panchayat Samiti, Mohali, are now excluded from the jurisdiction of the concerned Panchayat Samiti/Zila Parishad Mohali area. CHANDIGARH, November 30:- Continuing the war against drugs “Yudh Nashian Virudh” waged by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann to eradicate drug menace from state consecutively for the 274th day, Punjab Police conducted raids at 278 locations on Sunday leading to the arrest of 74 drug smugglers after registration of 59 first information reports (FIRs) across the state. With this, the number of total drug smugglers arrested has reached to 38,634 in 274 days.
