Amritsar, October 26: Fulfilling another promise made with the flood victims of the state, the Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann on Sunday flagged off seven trucks to provide two lakh quintal wheat seeds free of cost to the farmers who have lost their crop in around five lakh acres of land during the recent floods. The Chief Minister said that the farmers of the state have faced unimaginable hardships due to the flood and the government is firmly with the farmers of the state in this hour of grave crisis. YUDH NASHIAN VIRUDH’: ON DAY 239, PUNJAB POLICE NABS 66 DRUG SMUGGLERS WITH 1.1KG HEROIN

CHANDIGARH, October 26:           Continuing the war against drugs “Yudh Nashian Virudh” waged by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann to eradicate drug menace from state consecutively for the 239th day, Punjab Police conducted raids at 261 locations on Sunday leading to the arrest of 66 drug smugglers after registration of 57 first information reports (FIRs) across the state.
