AMRITSAR/JALANDHAR, May 15: In order to ensure free, fair and peaceful forthcoming Lok Sabha elections in the border state, Special Director General of Police (Spl DGP) Law and Order Arpit Shukla on Wednesday said that 80 per cent police force is being mobilised and at least 225 more companies of Central Forces will be arriving soon in the state to instil confidence among the general public as well as to dominate sensitive and hyper-sensitive areas. Ludhiana, May 13 : Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, on Monday, attended the funeral of revered poet Surjit Patar at Model Town Extension crematorium. Poet Dr. Surjit Singh Patar was cremated with full state honours in Ludhiana.  The last journey of Dr Surjit Patar was taken out from his house to the cremation ground in Model Town.
