Amritsar, January 6, 2025: MLA from the Central Assembly constituency, Dr Ajay Gupta said that a camp is being organized at his office in Hathi Ke at 11:30 am on January 8 to give the benefit of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana to the people. He said that in the camp, under this scheme, the beneficiaries are given money to build 2 rooms, a bathroom and a kitchen. He said that earlier the Punjab government and the central government together used to give an amount of Rs 1.75 lakh to build a house under this scheme. Now the said amount has been increased to Rs 2.5 lakh. MLA Dr Gupta said that in this scheme, Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann has increased the amount earlier given by the Punjab government from Rs 25 thousand to one lakh rupees.
