CHANDIGARH, June 17:           With the war against drugs “Yudh Nashian Virudh” waged on the directions of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann to eradicate drug menace from state completed 108 days, Punjab Police on Tuesday arrested 128 drug smugglers and recovered 10.8 kg heroin, 2 kg opium and Rs 2.40 lakh drug money from their possession. Chandigarh, June 16 2025:  The Punjab Vigilance Bureau (VB), during its ongoing drive against corruption, arrested Sanitation Inspector Gurbinder Singh, posted at Municipal Council, Jalalabad, district Fazilka for demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs. 15,000. Jalandhar, June 12: Under the Punjab Government's decisive war against drugs, namely *“Yudh Nashian Virudh”*, launched on the directions of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann to eradicate the drug menace from the state, the campaign has completed 103 days today. Under this unique initiative, Jalandhar Commissionerate Police, led by Commissioner of Police Dhanpreet Kaur, have arrested 577 drug smugglers and recovered massive drug consignments in 410 cases.
