Chandigarh/SAS Nagar, October 13: Punjab Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Minister Lal Chand Kataruchak today said that Central Teams will soon visit Punjab Mandis to assess the impact of recent rains on paddy grains. During his visit to Kharar Grain Market, the Minister expressed satisfaction over the ongoing procurement operations and lauded the efforts of farmers, agencies, and officials ensuring smooth purchase despite challenging weather conditions. CHANDIGARH, October 12:           Continuing the war against drugs “Yudh Nashian Virudh” waged by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann to eradicate drug menace from state consecutively for the 225th day, Punjab Police conducted raids at 315 locations on Sunday leading to the arrest of 56 drug smugglers after registration of 40 first information reports (FIRs) across the state. Chandigarh, October 12: Committed to ensuring potable water supply to every household across the city, Municipal Corporation Ludhiana has achieved significant progress in curbing incidents of water contamination, informed Punjab Local Government Minister Dr. Ravjot Singh here today. The exercise, aimed at improving the water distribution network, has started yielding positive results with complaints of water contamination dropping from 608 in 2022-23 to 318 in 2025, till date.
