CHANDIGARH, October 2:           Continuing the war against drugs “Yudh Nashian Virudh” waged by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann to eradicate drug menace from state consecutively for the 215th day, Punjab Police conducted raids at 288 locations on Thursday leading to the arrest of 78 drug smugglers after registration of 60 first information reports (FIRs) across the state. CHANDIGARH, October 1:           With the ongoing decisive war against drugs ‘Yudh Nashian Virudh’ launched on the directions of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann has completed seven months, Punjab Police has registered 20,641 first information reports (FIRs) and arrested 31,478 drug smugglers leading to the recovery of 1359.5 kg heroin since March 1, 2025.           Since the launch of this anti-drug drive, Punjab Police, under the directions of Director General of Police (DGP) Punjab Gaurav Yadav, has been conducting operations daily simultaneously in all the 28 Police districts of the state.
