Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister said the unprecedented floods had caused immense hardship to the people of Punjab and the pain suffered by affected families was beyond words. Chandigarh, November 26, 2025: The Punjab Vigilance Bureau (VB), in line with the zero tolerance policy adopted by the Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann led Punjab government, has apprehended an ASI Jaswinder Singh posted at police station Bhogpur, district Jalandhar for demanding a bribe Rs. 5 lakh. Disclosing this here today an official spokesperson of the state VB said the arrest has been made following a complaint lodged by a resident of Maqsudan, Jalandhar city on the Chief Minister’s Anti Corruption Action Line portal. CHANDIGARH, November 26:-           In a major breakthrough amidst the ongoing drive to make Punjab a drug free state as per directions of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, Punjab Police’s Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) has busted a drug trafficking module with the arrest of a drug smuggler and recovered 5.084 kg heroin, 1.681 kg ICE (Methamphetamine) and ₹6,50,000 drug money from his possession, said Director General of Police (DGP) Punjab Gaurav Yadav here on Wednesday. CHANDIGARH, November 26:-           Continuing the war against drugs “Yudh Nashian Virudh” waged by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann to eradicate drug menace from state consecutively for the 270th day, Punjab Police conducted raids at 358 locations on Wednesday leading to the arrest of 104 drug smugglers after registration of 83 first information reports (FIRs) across the state. Sri Anandpur Sahib, November 26:- A mock session of the Punjab Vidhan Sabha was organized on the occasion of India’s Constitution Day in the Punjab Legislative Assembly established here to mark 350th martyrdom day of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji on Wednesday. The students from government schools across Punjab participated in this mock session.Even though it was just a mock session, as many as 117 students played their roles so realistically which reflects it as a real Punjab Vidhan Sabha sitting.
