Moga, April 6 (000) – Navjot Kaur, a student from village Demru Kalan in district Moga, has achieved a remarkable feat by securing the second position in the entire state of Punjab in the Class 8 results announced by the Punjab School Education Board.
Deputy Commissioner, Sagar Setia, extended his congratulations to Navjot Kaur and her parents on her outstanding achievement through a video call. The Deputy Commissioner assured Navjot Kaur that the Punjab government and district administration will provide her with all possible support and assistance to help her achieve her goals.
The Deputy Commissioner mentioned that the Punjab government is taking various initiatives to improve the education sector and will ensure that Navjot Kaur benefits from the government’s welfare schemes related to education. He also assured her that he will personally guide her in her career and provide financial support.
Navjot Kaur expressed her desire to become a doctor and pursue higher education, but mentioned that she requires financial assistance due to her family’s economic situation. The Deputy Commissioner advised her to continue working hard and not worry about financial constraints, as the government and administration will always be there to support her.
The conversation brought tears to Navjot Kaur’s eyes and those of her family members. They thanked Punjab Government and Bhagwant Singh Mann Chief Minister for assuring her of all possible support.
The Deputy Commissioner praised Navjot Kaur’s parents for providing her with quality education despite financial difficulties. He emphasized that daughters are not a burden on their parents, but rather, they can achieve great things if given the opportunity.
Notably, Navjot Kaur scored 600 out of 600 marks (100%) in Class 8, but was ranked second due to being a year older than the top-ranked student, Puneet Verma.
