Chandigarh, September 26 : Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann on Friday reviewed the ongoing cleanliness, relief, and rehabilitation efforts across major towns and cities of the state in the aftermath of the recent floods. Chairing a virtual meeting with Commissioners of Urban Local Bodies (ULBs), the Chief Minister stated that several districts in Punjab have been severely affected by flooding in rivers such as the Ravi, Beas, Satluj, and Ghaggar, along with their tributaries. Chandigarh, September 25, 2025 – The Punjab Vigilance Bureau (VB) has secured a major breakthrough in a corruption case by attaching 8 properties and three bank accounts belonging to former Deputy Director of the Punjab Food and Civil Supplies Department, Rakesh Kumar Singla, his wife Rachna Singla, and their sons Swaraj Singla and Siddarth Singla. This action was taken following a court order in the ongoing criminal cases against them.
