Doorstep Delivery of Citizen Centric Services expanded from 43 to 406

SAS Nagar, February 11, 2025:In a bid to further enhance governance and accessibility of government services to the citizens of the state, the ambit of Door Step Delivery Services have been expanded to 406 citizen centric services.     Divulging the details about the initiative taken by the Governance Reforms Department of Punjab Government, Deputy Commissioner Aashika Jain said that in continuation to the existing 43 services started under "Bhagwant Mann Sarkar, Tuhade Dwaar" scheme, addition of 363 more citizen-centric services, has allowed the people to avail 406 services, being offered in Sewa Kendras, at their doorsteps.     She said that this initiative of offering doorstep delivery of 406 services, included driving licenses, Police Verification and passport applications also.     Sh...

Chandigarh, February 7:           Taking another welfare step for labourers, the Punjab Government led by the Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann has abolished two year service condition of labourers under stipend schemes for their children.           Disclosing this here today, Punjab Labour Minister Tarunpreet Singh Sond said that this step would be immensely beneficial for labour fraternity as earlier the condition of two years service was mandatory.
