Chandigarh, June 21 2025: The Punjab Vigilance Bureau (VB), during its ongoing drive against corruption, has arrested Jatinder Pal Piplani, a recovery agent attached with the Punjab Gramin Bank, for demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs. 50000 as a second instalment. Chandigarh, June 21: In order to enhance the security in jails, the Punjab Cabinet led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann on Saturday gave approval for filling 500 posts of various cadres in the jail staff. Chandigarh, June 20: The Punjab State Farmers' and Farm Workers' Commission (PSFFWC) has commissioned a comprehensive study on water resources availability and other water-related issues in Punjab from the National Institute of Hydrology, Roorkee. The findings of this report have been submitted to the Legislative Committee of 6 MLAs under the Chairmanship of Sh. Gurjit Singh Rana. This committee was constituted by the Punjab Vidhan Sabha.
