Chandigarh, February 1 Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann led State Government will leave no stone unturned to provide clean and sufficient drinking water to the villages of the state. Disclosing this here today, Water Supply and Sanitation Minister Hardip Singh Mundian said that in order to overcome the problem of water quality and its shortage, the department is running 15 major canal water projects at a cost of Rs. 2174 Crore, and work is going on war footing with regard to these projects. Chandigarh, January 30: As a part of its relentless efforts to elevate the state’s school education system at par to the world-class standards, Punjab School Education department has initiated the selection process for the primary and elementary teachers, who wish to undergo training at University of Turku in Finland. Divulging the details about the selection process, Punjab School Education Minister S. Harjot Singh Bains informed that the 2nd batch of 72 primary and elementary teachers (BPEOs, CHTs, HTs) will be sent to University of Turku, Finland for training. Vigilance Bureau arrests ASI for taking Rs 15,000 bribe

Chandigarh 29 January 2025 : The Punjab Vigilance Bureau (VB) during its ongoing crackdown against bribery, has arrested Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) Prashotam Lal, posted at Police Station Aur, District Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar on charges of taking bribe of Rs 15,000. He had been absconding for the last 4 months, evading his arrest in this case.
