CHANDIGARH, September 30: Continuing the war against drugs “Yudh Nashian Virudh” waged by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann to eradicate drug menace from state consecutively for the 213th day, Punjab Police conducted raids at 300 locations on Tuesday leading to the arrest of 71 drug smugglers after registration of 48 first information reports (FIRs) across the state. VB drive against corruption: Education department JE nabbed red handed taking Rs 4000 bribe

Chandigarh September 29, 2025 - The Punjab Vigilance Bureau (VB), during its drive against corruption has apprehended Harjit Singh, Junior Engineer (JE), Education Department, posted at Kapurthala red-handed accepting a bribe of Rs. 4000. Disclosing this a spokesperson of the VB said the accused has been arrested following a complainant from a school teacher posted in Government School, Dhaliwal Dona, in Kapurthala district.
