The Chief Minister, who inspected the ongoing procurement operations in the local grain market, said that the farmers of the state have suffered huge loss due to the flood fury in the state. Chandigarh, October 21:  11 nomination papers were filed on Tuesday, the last day of filing nominations for the bye-election to the 21-Tarn Taran Assembly Constituency. A spokesperson of the Office of the Chief Electoral Officer, Punjab informed that Congress candidate Karanbir Singh filed one more nomination paper today. In addition, Mandeep Singh S/o Mohinder Pal Singh submitted two nomination papers as an independent candidate. Chandigarh, October 18: Punjab Social Security, Women and Child Development Minister Dr. Baljit Kaur informed that the Punjab Government has released an amount of ₹84.26 lakh to facilitate the free and concessional travel of visually impaired and differently-abled persons in government buses. This amount forms part of the budget earmarked for providing transport facilities to persons with disabilities.
