CHANDIGARH, December 1:- With the ongoing decisive war against drugs ‘Yudh Nashian Virudh’ launched on the directions of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann has completed nine months, Punjab Police has registered 26,256 first information reports (FIRs) and arrested 38,687 drug smugglers leading to the recovery of 1714 kg heroin since March 1, 2025. Roadways workers’ strike ends; consensus reached during meeting with Transport Minister

Chandigarh, November 30- Protesting Punjab Roadways and Punbus employees called off their agitation on Sunday after consensus was reached during a meeting with the Transport Minister here at Patti, Tarn Taran. CHANDIGARH, November 30:- Continuing the war against drugs “Yudh Nashian Virudh” waged by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann to eradicate drug menace from state consecutively for the 274th day, Punjab Police conducted raids at 278 locations on Sunday leading to the arrest of 74 drug smugglers after registration of 59 first information reports (FIRs) across the state. With this, the number of total drug smugglers arrested has reached to 38,634 in 274 days.
