CHANDIGARH/AMRITSAR, December 1:-          In a major breakthrough against Pakistan’s ISI-backed terror network amidst the ongoing drive to make Punjab a safe and secure state as per directions of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, Gurdaspur Police in joint operation with Counter Intelligence (CI) Wing Punjab has arrested four accused persons in connection with the Gurdaspur Grenade attack case and recovered one P-86 hand grenade and two pistols from their possession.           Those arrested have been identified as Pradeep Kumar, a resident of Hoshiarpur; Gurdit, a resident of Gurdaspur; Naveen Chaudhary and Kush, both residents of Talwara in Hoshiarpur. CHANDIGARH, December 1:-           With the ongoing decisive war against drugs ‘Yudh Nashian Virudh’ launched on the directions of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann has completed nine months, Punjab Police has registered 26,256 first information reports (FIRs) and arrested 38,687 drug smugglers leading to the recovery of 1714 kg heroin since March 1, 2025.           Since the launch of this anti-drug drive, Punjab Police, under the directions of Director General of Police (DGP) Punjab Gaurav Yadav, has been conducting operations daily simultaneously in all the 28 Police districts of the state. Chandigarh, November 30- Protesting Punjab Roadways  and Punbus  employees called off their agitation on Sunday after consensus was reached during a meeting with the Transport Minister here at Patti, Tarn Taran. After the meeting, Transport Minister Laljit Singh Bhullar said that the suspended employees would be reinstated and the remaining legitimate demands of the employees would also be met soon. The Minister further said that the employees’ unions have agreed that they would not interfere in purchasing of new fleet of buses. CHANDIGARH, November 30:-          Continuing the war against drugs “Yudh Nashian Virudh” waged by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann to eradicate drug menace from state consecutively for the 274th day, Punjab Police conducted raids at 278 locations on Sunday leading to the arrest of 74 drug smugglers after registration of 59 first information reports (FIRs) across the state.
