Chandigarh, June 29 : In a major bonanza for the people of Punjab in general, and the residents of Dhuri in particular, Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann announced on Sunday that construction work on a double-lane Railway Overbridge (ROB) at Dhuri will commence soon. The Chief Minister stated that the necessary clearance has been granted by the Ministry of Railways after persistent efforts by the state government. He said the state-of-the-art ROB will be constructed at level crossing (phatak) number 62A and will play a crucial role in resolving the traffic congestion faced by residents of the Malwa region, particularly those in the Dhuri segment. Chandigarh, June 28, 2025: The Punjab Vigilance Bureau (VB), continuing its relentless drive against corruption, today apprehended Vikas Jindal, Clerk posted at the office of District Education Officer (Elementary), Malerkotla, red handed while he was accepting a bribe of Rs. 20,000 from a teacher. According to an official spokesperson of the VB, the accused clerk had demanded Rs. 30,000 from a complainant of village Bagrian, district Malerkotla in lieu of for processing his pending allowances in the DEO office. CHANDIGARH, June 27:           In a major crackdown on online child exploitation, Punjab Police’s Cybercrime Division has arrested two individuals and identified 33 suspects involved in viewing, transmitting and distributing of Child Sexual Exploitative and Abusive Material (CSEAM) using various online platforms, said Director General of Police (DGP) Punjab Gaurav Yadav  here on Friday.           The operation, codenamed CSEAM-4, conducted on Thursday, spanned 40 locations across 18 districts and three Commissionerates following actionable cyber tip-lines from the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (I4C) of the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA).        ...
