Chandigarh, July 14 : Reiterating that his government is duty-bound to curb sacrilege incidents in the state, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann on Monday presented the Punjab Prevention of Crime Against Religious Scriptures Bill, 2025 in the Punjab Vidhan Sabha. Introducing the bill on the floor of the House, the Chief Minister said that this is an emotive and critical issue that concerns every Punjabi. He emphasized that the matter has grave repercussions not only in the present but also for future generations. CHANDIGARH, July 14:           With the war against drugs “Yudh Nashian Virudh” waged on the directions of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann to eradicate drug menace from state completed 135 days, Punjab Police on Monday arrested 109 drug smugglers and recovered 2.7 kg heroin, 1.5 kg opium, 42 kg poppy husk and Rs 7.18 lakh drug money  from their possession.
