Chandigarh/Rupnagar, April 8: Rural Development and Panchayat Minister Tarunpreet Singh Sond, accompanied by former Delhi Education Minister Manish Sisodia, conducted an inspection of schools and sports grounds in various villages of Rupnagar district on Tuesday. The villages visited included Chairian, Bahrampur, Chandpur, Dakala, Lohgarh Phidde, as well as the government primary school and sports ground in Bahrampur Chaklan. Surprise check at RTA Bathinda: Vigilance Bureau registers case against three for registering and selling unfit vehicles using fake documents

Chandigarh, April 8, 2025 – In line with the Punjab Government’s zero-tolerance policy against corruption, the Punjab Vigilance Bureau (VB) Bathinda Range during a surprise inspection at the Regional Transport Authority (RTA) office Bathinda, has found that unfit vehicles, without any physical verification, were registered using fake documents and the agents had further sold them to the public at inflated prices.
