Vigilance Bureau arrests ASI for accepting a bribe of Rs 3,000 Bribe

Chandigarh, April 09, 2025: The Punjab Vigilance Bureau (VB), as part of its ongoing campaign against corruption, on Wednesday arrested Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Jaswant Singh, posted Police Station Cantonment, Amritsar, for accepting a bribe of Rs 3,000. An official spokesperson of the State Vigilance Bureau disclosed that the arrest was made following a complaint filed by a resident of Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar.
