Chandigarh May 28, 2025 - The Punjab Vigilance Bureau (VB) has arrested Assistant Town Planner (ATP) Charanjit Singh, posted at Nagar Council, Gurdaspur, for demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 10,000 from a local architect. Disclosing this here today an official spokesperson said the arrest was made following a complainant, from an Architect, who is resident of village Anandpur, tehsil Dinanagar, Gurdaspur district. He further stated that the complainant had applied for an NOC for his project in Gurdaspur city and file was initially cleared by the Building Inspector and Draughtsman but was later sent to the above said ATP for final approval.
