CHANDIGARH, December 3:-           Continuing the war against drugs “Yudh Nashian Virudh” waged by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann to eradicate drug menace from state consecutively for the 277th day, Punjab Police conducted raids at 335 locations on Wednesday leading to the arrest of 103 drug smugglers after registration of 79 first information reports (FIRs) across the state. CHANDIGARH, December 1:-           With the ongoing decisive war against drugs ‘Yudh Nashian Virudh’ launched on the directions of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann has completed nine months, Punjab Police has registered 26,256 first information reports (FIRs) and arrested 38,687 drug smugglers leading to the recovery of 1714 kg heroin since March 1, 2025.           Since the launch of this anti-drug drive, Punjab Police, under the directions of Director General of Police (DGP) Punjab Gaurav Yadav, has been conducting operations daily simultaneously in all the 28 Police districts of the state. Chandigarh, November 30- Protesting Punjab Roadways  and Punbus  employees called off their agitation on Sunday after consensus was reached during a meeting with the Transport Minister here at Patti, Tarn Taran. After the meeting, Transport Minister Laljit Singh Bhullar said that the suspended employees would be reinstated and the remaining legitimate demands of the employees would also be met soon. The Minister further said that the employees’ unions have agreed that they would not interfere in purchasing of new fleet of buses.
