Chandigarh, September 15: In line with its commitment to ensuring environmentally responsible industrial practices, the Board carried out a comprehensive inspection of all Tyre Pyrolysis Oil (TPO) Units across the State. As many as 17 teams comprising officers of the rank of Environmental Engineer were deployed to conduct a synchronized inspection of 17 operational TPO units located in different districts of Punjab. According to an official spokesperson, the inspections were aimed at assessing compliance with environmental safeguards, safety protocols and pollution control measures mandated under the law and prescribed guidelines. Chandigarh September 15: After observing that a number of cooperative housing and house building societies have not remitted statutory dues to the respective Urban Development Authorities, despite having collected such amounts from their members the Registrar Cooperative Societies Girish Dayalan under the directions of Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann has ordered to send notices to all these societies. These dues include, but are not limited to, External Development Charges (EDC), Change of Land Use (CLU) charges, and other statutory payments. CHANDIGARH, September 14: To protect the health of citizens in the flood-ravaged areas of the state, Punjab Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr Balbir Singh issued orders for a massive mobilization of the state’s entire medical fraternity, directing the deployment of all available resources—including government doctors, private volunteers, Ayurveda medical officers, and MBBS interns—to spearhead a ‘Special Health Campaign’ in 2303 flood-affected villages from Sunday. Chandigarh, September 14: Punjab Local Government Minister Dr. Ravjot Singh today said that a notification had been issued for measures to be taken by the Urban Local Bodies in view of recent  floods in the State. The Minister stated that the these measures included cleanliness, potable water supply, preventive health related interventions to ensure restoration of normalcy in the towns of the State.
