Chandigarh, March 28:           Punjab Labour Minister Tarunpreet Singh Sond, while responding to a question in the Vidhan Sabha, stated that the state government has a plan to include all MGNREGA workers under the Building and Other Construction Workers' (BOCW) Welfare Board.           Responding to a query raised by MLA Dinesh Chadha, the minister informed that, as of March 28, 2025, a total of 11,16,651 construction workers are registered with the BOC Welfare Board. Urban estates to be built in cities of Punjab: Mundian

Chandigarh, March 27 Housing and Urban Development Minister Hardip Singh Mundian has said that sites are being explored to build urban estates in cities/towns of the state. Mr. Mundian was responding to a question raised by MLA from Nakodar Inderjit Kaur Mann during the Question Hour of the Punjab Vidhan Sabha today regarding the establishment of Urban Estates in Nakodar and Nurmahal. The Minister said that the department has issued instructions to the Chief Administrators of all development authorities of the state to select suitable sites in order to establish urban estates in their respective jurisdictions and then send the proposals to the government. He said that as per these instructions, the concerned authorities are searching for suitable sites.

Chandigarh, March 27 A new water works will be constructed in Chakeria village of Vidhan Sabha constituency Mansa, while the old water works of another village Aklia will be upgraded. This information was given by Water Supply and Sanitation Minister Hardip Singh Mundian in response to a question by Mansa MLA Dr. Vijay Singla during Question Hour in Punjab Vidhan Sabha today.
